Complete Ayurveda for IBS Course
Part 8:
Herbs and Home Remedies for IBS Relief
Natural Remedies That Work With Your Body & IBS Type
If you’re tired of relying on medications or feeling like nothing ever works for your IBS, you’re not alone.
Ayurveda offers natural, time-tested remedies that don’t just suppress symptoms—they help heal your gut from the inside out.
Today, I’ll walk you through a few simple herbs and home remedies—organized by dosha—that you can start using right away.
🌿 The Ayurvedic View on Herbal Remedies
In Ayurveda, herbs aren’t quick fixes. They’re powerful, supportive tools that help:
Strengthen digestion (Agni)
Clear out toxins (Ama)
Rebalance the doshas
They work gently, and when used correctly, they can be a big part of your long-term healing journey.
Always start slow. More isn’t necessarily better. Adjust as needed—and listen to your body.

🧠 Why Personalization Matters
These herbs are a great starting point—but the real magic happens when your remedies are tailored to your unique dosha, lifestyle, and needs.
You can absolutely DIY your healing (and I love that you're here learning how). But if you’re looking for deeper insight and faster results, working with a practitioner can massively increase your momentum.
Think of it like fixing your car—yes, you can do it yourself, but having a skilled mechanic saves time, confusion, and trial and error.
Same with your gut.
